What does that look like?
Our client is a market leading manufacturer within the essential packaging and consumer goods sector. Known for their consistent growth and high volume operations, they are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join their established Hornby finance team. This is a 12 month fixed term contract requiring an immediate start. You will take ownership of:
Full function Accounts Payable: Managing a busy end to end ledger.
Matching, batching, and coding invoices against purchase orders.
Preparation and execution of regular, accurate payment runs.
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies professionally.
Supporting the wider finance team with month end tasks.
What will you bring?
This is a high volume environment where efficiency and accuracy are critical. To be successful, you will:
Have a proven track record in a dedicated Accounts Payable or transactional accounting role.
Problem Solving: A proactive approach to resolving queries and statement discrepancies.
Time Management: Excellent organisational skills to meet strict payment deadlines.
Communication: Friendly, approachable, and professional in all interactions.
Commitment: The ability to start immediately and commit to the full 12 month term.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a full function AP position (Manufacturing or similar industry ideal).
Strong technical knowledge of GST requirements and AP processes.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
A professional attitude with a focus on getting it right first time.
